Hazardous Waste Disposal
Hazardous waste can’t go in the trash
It’s the law. Save hazardous waste for one of the freeHazMobile household hazardous waste collections .

Collections may be cancelled due to severe rain and wind.
Free to households within daily load limit of 15 gallons per vehicle per day, measured by container size.
Businesses must make appointment and pay a fee per gallon which is a direct “pass through” of our disposal cost for various types of hazardous waste. Call 707-468-9710 to make an appointment.
Items accepted: motor oil, oil filters, antifreeze, gasoline, solvents, paint thinner, oil-based paint, latex paint, household & vehicle batteries, toxic cleaners, fluorescent light tubes, PCB-containing ballasts, acids, bases, pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, and prescription medication. Mercury thermostats and thermometers can be brought into the HazMobile site. Additional drop-off sites can be located at recyclehomethermostats.org.
Deciding where it all goes? Should it be recycled, put in hazardous waste or perhaps composted? Read our handy pdf flyer to help decide!
